[01:14.880 --> 01:18.640]  According to the U.S. Census clock, as of today this morning when I was on my computer
[01:18.640 --> 01:25.040]  checking in preparation for this video, the population of the United States is 333 million.
[01:25.040 --> 01:34.520]  So that leaves us with 79 million, just 79 million, who have not been infected with SARS-CoV-2.
[01:34.520 --> 01:38.420]  These same experts that are saying it's going to swamp the entire planet are talking about
[01:38.420 --> 01:44.160]  new daily infections here in the United States reaching one million per day.
[01:44.160 --> 01:47.440]  Now, of course, you don't wake up one morning and it's a million per day.
[01:47.440 --> 01:52.720]  I think yesterday, when I looked back over the last week or so, the average was about
[01:52.720 --> 01:55.720]  120,000 new daily infections.
[01:55.720 --> 02:03.220]  So in order to get to a million new daily infections, that would have to increase from 120,000.
[02:03.220 --> 02:06.080]  So what you'd see is it would hit 200,000 on average.
[02:06.080 --> 02:07.760]  We're talking about, like, say, the average for a week.
[02:07.760 --> 02:12.880]  It would hit 200,000 and then 500,000 and then, say, 700,000.

[02:13.880 --> 02:16.200]  And eventually you're going to get to a million infections a day.

[02:42.240 --> 02:44.940]  So no.
[02:44.940 --> 02:48.380]  And the no is because of the vaccines.
[02:48.380 --> 02:51.740]  I've talked a lot over the last several months about the fact that the vaccines do not activate
[02:51.740 --> 02:53.700]  production of memory T cells in the body.
[02:53.700 --> 02:57.560]  And memory T cells are the essential component of the human immune system that actually creates
[02:57.560 --> 03:01.120]  the societal phenomenon we call herd immunity.
[03:01.120 --> 03:05.660]  So a very simple equation is no memory T cells, no herd immunity.

[03:59.800 --> 04:05.560]  Moving on to the main thrust of the video, let's take a look at Omicron's symptomology.
[04:05.560 --> 04:09.320]  The UK is currently one of the hot spots in the world for Omicron.
[04:09.360 --> 04:13.040]  It also happens to have nationalized healthcare, so information flows directly from the healthcare
[04:13.040 --> 04:14.960]  providers up to a national database.
[04:14.960 --> 04:20.800]  So they are able to share information of what's going on in the UK on the whole.
[04:20.800 --> 04:27.760]  They have recorded the five most common symptoms from somebody infected with Omicron if the
[04:27.760 --> 04:30.240]  person is symptomatic at all.
[04:30.320 --> 04:41.480]  Those five symptoms are runny nose, headache, fatigue, sneezing, sore throat.
[04:41.480 --> 04:44.860]  And I think the important thing to add to this, those are the top five.
[04:44.860 --> 04:49.520]  So it's important to understand that unless something exceedingly rare occurs with a particular
[04:49.520 --> 04:53.600]  individual, Omicron is not causing serious illness.
[04:53.600 --> 04:59.920]  And I think it needs to be said that these symptoms of symptomology is the same in vaccinated
[04:59.920 --> 05:04.280]  people and unvaccinated people.
[05:04.280 --> 05:11.540]  Understanding the symptomology and the predicted massive spread of Omicron, let's talk about
[05:11.540 --> 05:17.820]  the consequences to society, to the economy, if SARS-CoV-2 protocols that have been in
[05:17.820 --> 05:24.640]  place for almost two years now remain in place as Omicron spreads massively throughout the
[05:24.640 --> 05:27.480]  United States, if those predictions are accurate.
[05:27.520 --> 05:31.200]  The primary protocol to which I'm referring is when a person knows or suspects they've
[05:31.200 --> 05:36.480]  been infected with SARS-CoV-2, in this case we're talking about Omicron, they have to
[05:36.480 --> 05:39.440]  self-isolate for 10 days.
[05:39.440 --> 05:45.800]  Now, when I say have to, most states have that as part of their emergency orders, and
[05:45.800 --> 05:49.680]  most employers are insisting on that.
[05:49.680 --> 05:53.160]  As infections ramp up to a million a day, if that's going to happen, and then we see
[05:53.160 --> 05:58.520]  infections day after day after day after day at a million per day, if we imagine that's
[05:58.520 --> 06:06.840]  going to go on for 60 days, then that means that 60 million people won't be going to work
[06:06.840 --> 06:08.980]  because they'll be self-isolating.
[06:08.980 --> 06:14.160]  And what that would look like in a practical sense is for each 10-day period, within that
[06:14.160 --> 06:19.560]  60-day period, for that 10 to each 10-day period, 10 million people would not go to
[06:19.560 --> 06:21.620]  work in the United States.
[06:21.620 --> 06:28.400]  That said, it won't happen exactly like that because people are going to infect others
[06:28.400 --> 06:29.780]  that they work with.
[06:29.780 --> 06:32.660]  No, masks aren't going to stop this.
[06:32.660 --> 06:39.860]  So what's going to happen is in certain businesses or locales, various locales of larger corporations,
[06:39.860 --> 06:44.140]  you're going to see Omicron sweep through that contained environment.
[06:44.140 --> 06:48.860]  In other words, it's entirely possible, if not likely, that in many businesses, suddenly
[06:48.860 --> 06:53.620]  within a 10-day period, 90% of their workforce is going to have to stay home and isolate
[06:53.620 --> 06:55.020]  for 10 days.
[06:55.020 --> 07:00.100]  If we look at large corporations with many, many employees over a number of locations,
[07:00.100 --> 07:02.160]  we'll probably see this happen in waves.
[07:02.160 --> 07:06.820]  So at any given time, they'll be down 50%, 60%, 70% of their employees.
[07:06.820 --> 07:11.940]  It's going to be very difficult for corporations with multiple locations to remain open when
[07:11.940 --> 07:16.860]  they're missing 50% or 60% of their workforce on any given day, especially if it goes in
[07:16.860 --> 07:17.860]  waves.

[07:18.940 --> 07:23.340]  They're down 60%, then 50%, then 30%, then they're down 65%.
[07:23.340 --> 07:27.640]  And this just rolls as Omicron permeates their workforce.
[07:27.640 --> 07:31.060]  It's hard to keep the doors open under those circumstances.
[07:31.060 --> 07:34.500]  And of course, if you have, say, a smaller business with a single location and it's down
[07:34.500 --> 07:38.940]  80%, 90% of its workers, it's not going to be able to keep the doors open.
[07:38.940 --> 07:44.540]  Now, to be clear, I'm not saying that the idea of 10-day self-isolating is inherently
[07:44.540 --> 07:47.700]  in every situation problematic.
[07:47.700 --> 07:52.280]  When the infections were moving slowly, say back when the wild virus alpha variant was
[07:52.280 --> 07:56.260]  out there, 10-day self-isolation may have made sense.

[08:45.020 --> 08:50.620]  That would be zero because the experts who are predicting this wave of Omicron that's
[08:50.620 --> 08:54.900]  going to sweep not just the United States but the entire world are making that prediction
[08:54.900 --> 08:58.920]  within the context of 10-day self-isolation.
[08:58.920 --> 09:03.600]  In other words, if they're right, then everyone in the United States is going to be exposed
[09:03.600 --> 09:08.240]  to Omicron within roughly seven weeks if you self-isolate or if you don't.
[09:08.240 --> 09:13.080]  So if we're going to have the same outcome no matter what, then why would you destroy
[09:13.080 --> 09:20.480]  the economy again when it does not change the outcome?
[09:20.480 --> 09:24.480]  Also I should be clear that the vaccines are not going to protect you from Omicron.
[09:24.480 --> 09:28.640]  If you've been relying on the vaccine protection in the hope that you're not going to be infected

[10:06.820 --> 10:11.220]  Nearly every infected person was vaccinated.
