Use `--language` to specify the language Detected language: English [00:00.000 --> 00:08.920] As of January 4th, 2021, there are eight states in the union that still have mask mandates. [00:08.920 --> 00:18.720] So what's going on with those eight states and their mask mandates in light of Omicron? [00:18.720 --> 00:30.120] The Dr. Reality Vodcast with Dave Champion. [00:30.120 --> 00:32.920] Let's start with the premise that Omicron was almost certainly in the United States [00:32.920 --> 00:34.660] as far back as October. [00:34.660 --> 00:41.180] You may recall that Omicron was detected and identified someplace between mid to late November [00:41.180 --> 00:42.480] in South Africa. [00:42.480 --> 00:47.820] The reason for that was that a South African physician, when talking with patients, she [00:47.820 --> 00:50.020] got some signals that made her curious. [00:50.020 --> 00:55.500] So she sent samples for sequencing and voila, suddenly this new thing was identified, which [00:55.500 --> 00:57.420] we now know as Omicron. [00:57.420 --> 01:03.500] However, because of the top five symptoms are very, very mild, much like the common [01:03.500 --> 01:09.300] cold, Omicron probably flew under the radar for quite some time before it was finally [01:09.300 --> 01:12.640] sequenced, detected, and identified in South Africa. [01:12.640 --> 01:19.640] The states that currently have mask mandates are California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, [01:19.640 --> 01:23.440] New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Washington. [01:23.440 --> 01:28.160] So let's run down this list and see what's happening with infections in states that have [01:28.160 --> 01:29.160] mask mandates. [01:29.160 --> 01:33.120] Now, before I launch on that, we need to cover a little administrative ground. [01:33.120 --> 01:38.640] First point, all of these numbers are from Google's aggregation of data. [01:38.640 --> 01:40.880] So that's the source if you want to know that. [01:40.880 --> 01:45.200] Next, how did I determine when I get to the part where I talk about in a given set of [01:45.200 --> 01:52.000] time how dramatically new daily infections have risen, how did I establish the beginning [01:52.000 --> 01:53.000] date? [01:53.000 --> 01:58.240] So first, if it was more than five months back, I excluded, it has to be within the [01:58.240 --> 02:05.160] last five months, then I looked at the date and the data and I determined what a reasonable [02:05.160 --> 02:12.480] person would assume was the beginning date when new daily infections in the current surge [02:12.480 --> 02:14.800] began to increase. [02:14.800 --> 02:17.800] I also ignored anomalous drops in spikes. [02:17.800 --> 02:21.320] If you've been watching me for more than a year, you've probably heard me talk about [02:21.320 --> 02:22.320] that. [02:22.320 --> 02:24.240] Anomalous drops in spikes work like this. [02:24.240 --> 02:29.680] Let's say numbers are going around in the 1,000 new daily infections per day range. [02:29.680 --> 02:33.680] So it's 900 one day, 1,200 the next, 1,100 the next, you get the point. [02:33.680 --> 02:39.800] And then suddenly, for a day or two, it's 20 or 19 or 30. [02:39.800 --> 02:45.440] And then immediately after that, it goes back up to 1,000, 1,100, 1,200, 900. [02:45.440 --> 02:48.800] So that drop is what I would call an anomalous drop. [02:48.800 --> 02:51.160] It does not communicate much to us. [02:51.160 --> 02:53.160] Likewise, same thing with anomalous spikes. [02:53.160 --> 02:56.520] Let's say again, you're in the 1,000 infections per day range. [02:56.520 --> 02:59.400] So you've got 900 one day, 1,100 the next, and 1,200 the next. [02:59.400 --> 03:01.080] By the way, we're talking weeks here. [03:01.080 --> 03:04.600] Because suddenly, on one day, it says 22,000. [03:04.600 --> 03:08.240] And then it drops back down, and it's 900, 1,100, 1,200, and so forth. [03:08.240 --> 03:11.680] So that one day is what I call an anomalous spike. [03:11.680 --> 03:16.880] So when I put these numbers together, I threw out anomalous drops and anomalous spikes because [03:16.880 --> 03:18.640] they really don't tell us a lot. [03:18.640 --> 03:24.640] So now let's look at the eight states that currently have mask mandates in place. [03:24.640 --> 03:26.560] The first one is California. [03:26.560 --> 03:29.120] So let's look at these numbers. [03:29.120 --> 03:34.560] This daily high, and whenever I say previous daily high, I mean before the current surge. [03:34.560 --> 03:41.320] So the previous daily high in California was on December 26, 2020. [03:41.320 --> 03:47.440] And it was 64,986 new daily infections in a single day. [03:47.440 --> 03:54.960] The 2021 high watermark in new daily infections, at least so far, took place on December 31. [03:54.960 --> 04:00.000] That number is 57,646. [04:00.000 --> 04:12.960] From November 28 through December 31, California saw new daily infections rise more than 10,000% [04:12.960 --> 04:14.680] with a mask mandate. [04:14.680 --> 04:21.280] Hawaii, previous daily high of new daily infections was on August 29, 2020, and that number was [04:21.280 --> 04:24.360] 1,658. [04:24.360 --> 04:32.920] The high in the current surge took place on December 30, and that number was 3,425. [04:32.920 --> 04:42.600] From November 30 through December 30, Hawaii saw new daily infections rise more than 4,500% [04:42.600 --> 04:44.800] with a mask mandate in place. [04:44.800 --> 04:50.920] Illinois, the previous high for new daily infections was on November 13, 2020, and that [04:50.920 --> 04:54.880] number was 15,223. [04:54.880 --> 05:03.280] The 2021, I'm sorry, 2022 high watermark in new daily infections, thus far, was on January [05:03.280 --> 05:10.440] 3, and it was 89,157 new daily infections in a single day. [05:10.440 --> 05:20.480] From October 27 through January 3, Illinois saw new daily infections rise more than 4,400% [05:20.480 --> 05:22.680] with a mask mandate in place. [05:22.680 --> 05:31.840] Nevada, new daily infections, the previous high was November 24, 2020, that was 3,900. [05:31.840 --> 05:39.080] The 2022 high watermark in new daily infections, thus far, was on January 3, and that number [05:39.080 --> 05:42.600] was 13,163. [05:42.600 --> 05:52.040] From November 19 through January 3, Nevada saw new daily infections rise more than 2,000% [05:52.040 --> 05:54.040] with a mask mandate in place. [05:54.040 --> 06:01.140] New Mexico, the previous daily high was on November 19, 2020, and that was 3,664 new [06:01.140 --> 06:02.820] daily infections. [06:02.820 --> 06:12.240] The 2022 high watermark, thus far, was on January 3, this year, and that was 7,437. [06:12.240 --> 06:18.140] From September 21 through January 3, New Mexico saw new daily infections rise more [06:18.140 --> 06:24.640] than 1,800% with a mask mandate in place. [06:24.640 --> 06:31.740] New York, the previous daily high was on March 25, 2021, so again, now this is the first [06:31.740 --> 06:37.320] time we're coming across a previous high, and by previous I mean pre this current surge. [06:37.320 --> 06:45.860] The previous high within 2021 on March 25, that number was 4,635. [06:45.860 --> 06:57.160] The new high watermark was on December 26, 2021, and that number was, wow, 54,828. [06:57.160 --> 07:02.220] From November 16 through December 26, New York saw new daily infections rise almost [07:02.220 --> 07:07.100] 5,000% with a mask mandate in place. [07:07.100 --> 07:13.740] Oregon, the previous daily infection high, which took place on September 7, 2021, was [07:13.740 --> 07:18.180] 10,901 new daily infections. [07:18.180 --> 07:29.140] The 2022 high watermark, thus far, took place on January 3, and that is 30,851. [07:29.140 --> 07:38.420] From November 23 through January 3, Oregon saw new daily infections rise more than 1,100% [07:38.420 --> 07:40.420] with a mask mandate in place. [07:40.420 --> 07:49.260] Washington state, the previous high record was on November 24, 2020, at 3,900. [07:49.260 --> 07:56.380] The 2022 high watermark in new daily infections, again, thus far, took place on January 3, [07:56.380 --> 08:00.460] Oregon was 13,163. [08:00.460 --> 08:09.740] From November 24 through January 3, Washington saw new daily infections rise more than 1,220% [08:09.740 --> 08:11.780] with a mask mandate in place. [08:11.780 --> 08:16.500] So having heard those numbers, how does that compare to states that don't have mask mandates? [08:16.500 --> 08:20.500] Because obviously we don't want to look at the states that do have mask mandates in a [08:20.500 --> 08:21.500] vacuum. [08:21.620 --> 08:26.940] Of course, there are 42 states that don't, so obviously we'd be here a very long time [08:26.940 --> 08:27.940] if we went through all of that. [08:27.940 --> 08:28.940] So here's what I did. [08:28.940 --> 08:33.720] I chose five, and I didn't look at the numbers before I chose them. [08:33.720 --> 08:37.860] The first two I chose, I mean, it wasn't even a question, was Texas and Florida. [08:37.860 --> 08:43.380] And the reason for that is just about a year ago, the media was excoriating those two states [08:43.380 --> 08:47.860] claiming they were incredibly irresponsible concerning SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19. [08:47.860 --> 08:51.320] So I wanted to look at them again now in light of Omicron. [08:51.320 --> 08:53.320] The next one I chose was Vermont. [08:53.320 --> 08:57.440] The reason I chose Vermont is Vermont has the highest vaccination rate of any of the [08:57.440 --> 08:58.800] 50 states. [08:58.800 --> 09:03.680] The next one I chose was Idaho, because it has the lowest vaccination rate of any state [09:03.680 --> 09:04.680] in the union. [09:04.680 --> 09:08.560] And the final one of the five that I chose was Iowa, because it sits square in the middle [09:08.560 --> 09:11.280] between Vermont and Idaho. [09:11.280 --> 09:13.960] So now we'll look at the numbers of the five states that were selected for the purpose [09:13.960 --> 09:19.120] of this presentation that do not have statewide mask mandates, Texas. [09:19.120 --> 09:26.920] The previous daily high took place on December 11, 2020, and it was 58,246. [09:26.920 --> 09:34.500] I did, by the way, that number, the 58,246, is an anomalous spike. [09:34.500 --> 09:40.420] The actual numbers right in that area were more aligned with like 22,000, 23,000. [09:40.420 --> 09:43.640] But I just couldn't look at that number and just ignore it. [09:43.640 --> 09:47.300] And really, earlier when I said I was ignoring anomalous drops and anomalous spikes, that [09:47.300 --> 09:51.980] pertained to that, the period of time I've been telling you where over a period of time [09:51.980 --> 09:55.820] the numbers rose by such and such a percent. [09:55.820 --> 10:00.440] That is the equation where I excluded anomalous drops and spikes. [10:00.440 --> 10:04.940] So that was Texas's high water mark back in 2020. [10:04.940 --> 10:13.220] The 2022 high water mark for new daily infections thus far took place on January 3, and it was [10:13.220 --> 10:20.120] 164,902. [10:20.120 --> 10:29.200] From November 10 through January 3, Texas saw new daily infections rise more than 2,500 [10:29.200 --> 10:32.120] with no mask mandate in place. [10:32.120 --> 10:34.060] Florida. [10:34.060 --> 10:42.820] The previous daily high was on August 10, 2021, so not very long ago, and that was 56,610. [10:42.820 --> 10:52.580] The new high water mark still in 2021 took place on December 30, and that was 77,848. [10:52.580 --> 11:00.260] From November 22 through December 30, Florida saw new daily infections rise more than 5,000 [11:00.260 --> 11:02.540] with no mask mandate in place. [11:02.540 --> 11:03.780] Vermont. [11:03.780 --> 11:09.780] The previous high in daily infections was on April 1, 2020, April Fool's Day. [11:09.780 --> 11:14.860] That was 248 new daily infections in a single day. [11:14.860 --> 11:18.140] The high water mark for 2022 took place on January 3. [11:18.140 --> 11:20.220] There's a lot of January 3 dates here. [11:20.220 --> 11:23.620] That number was 2,779. [11:23.620 --> 11:32.660] From August 10 through January 3, Vermont saw new daily infections rise more than 3,000 [11:32.660 --> 11:35.140] with no mask mandate in place. [11:35.140 --> 11:36.400] Idaho. [11:36.400 --> 11:44.740] The previous daily high on September 7, 2021, so again, not long ago, was 2,558. [11:44.740 --> 11:50.240] The high water mark for 2020 again on January 3 was 1,420. [11:50.240 --> 11:54.360] We're going to talk about that in a minute. [11:54.360 --> 12:01.600] From August 10 through September 7, Idaho saw new daily infections rise almost 340% [12:01.600 --> 12:03.320] with no mask mandate in place. [12:03.320 --> 12:05.500] However, here's something interesting about those numbers. [12:05.500 --> 12:09.780] You might want to back this up a little bit and go over those numbers again. [12:09.780 --> 12:17.660] Idaho is the least vaccinated state in the union, yet it is the only state in this presentation [12:17.660 --> 12:26.180] where its January 3 numbers are actually lower than its 2021 high on September 7. [12:26.180 --> 12:31.040] In other words, every other state we've looked at, their numbers from about December 26 through [12:31.640 --> 12:37.080] January 3 are the highest the numbers have ever been in that state since the appearance [12:37.080 --> 12:40.840] of SARS-CoV-2, except Idaho. [12:40.840 --> 12:49.440] Its January 3 numbers are 45% lower than its September 7, 2021 numbers, although for the [12:49.440 --> 12:52.520] sake of full disclosure, I do have to let you know that those numbers are going up at [12:52.520 --> 12:53.520] this time. [12:53.520 --> 12:54.520] Iowa. [12:54.520 --> 12:57.640] So again, this was selected because it's right in between Vermont, which is the most [12:57.640 --> 13:00.240] vac state in the union, and Idaho, which is the least vac state. [13:00.240 --> 13:02.600] Iowa is smack dab in the center. [13:02.600 --> 13:09.840] So its previous high for new daily infections was on November 2020, and it was 4,944. [13:09.840 --> 13:17.400] The high watermark for 2022 was on December 29, and that was 5,031. [13:17.400 --> 13:26.680] From August 11 through December 29, Iowa saw new daily infections rise more than 290%, [13:26.680 --> 13:29.200] with no mask mandate in place. [13:29.200 --> 13:34.240] Looking back at the data we just discussed, which state has the highest percentage of [13:34.240 --> 13:43.020] infection increase in this surge, this current surge, and that would be California at 10,000%. [13:43.020 --> 13:48.200] Which state has the lowest percentage increase in new daily infections in this current surge? [13:48.200 --> 13:54.680] That would be Iowa at 290% of the states we looked at, which is doing the best in terms [13:54.680 --> 14:02.120] of their January 3rd numbers being lower than their previous high. [14:02.120 --> 14:06.440] That would be Idaho, the least vaccinated state in the union. [14:06.440 --> 14:09.720] So what do these numbers tell us? [14:09.720 --> 14:15.040] Well, I'm going to leave that to you, because I've noticed something that YouTube has been [14:15.040 --> 14:16.520] doing lately. [14:16.520 --> 14:22.000] I can lay out these kind of facts, but the minute I voice a conclusion, if the conclusion [14:22.000 --> 14:27.600] is not in alignment with what the establishment wants you to know, YouTube says it's medical [14:27.600 --> 14:29.920] misinformation and takes it down. [14:29.920 --> 14:34.520] So for the foreseeable future, I'm going to do away with conclusions. [14:34.520 --> 14:36.040] You heard the data for yourself. [14:36.040 --> 14:37.040] You're intelligent people. [14:37.040 --> 14:42.280] If you're following me, you certainly are, and you can determine what the data indicates [14:42.280 --> 14:43.520] for yourself. [14:43.520 --> 14:48.240] I will, however, ask a question, and the question is this. [14:48.240 --> 14:57.600] If New York, having rural and urban environments with a mask mandate, has seen a 5,000% increase [14:57.600 --> 15:02.960] in new daily infections during the current surge, and Florida that also has rural and [15:02.960 --> 15:09.480] urban centers and does not have a statewide mask mandate, and their increase in new daily [15:09.480 --> 15:14.000] infections during the current surge has also been 5,000%. [15:14.000 --> 15:22.440] So when we compare those two, how significant or meaningful or impactful do you believe [15:22.440 --> 15:26.680] mask mandates are in terms of SARS-CoV-2, and specifically what we're seeing now with [15:26.680 --> 15:27.680] Omicron? [15:27.680 --> 15:31.760] Although I have asked you the question, I would love to answer the question myself, [15:31.760 --> 15:36.520] but the current state of America is we live in a country, sadly, that is now especially [15:37.080 --> 15:44.600] is exercising communist China-type censorship over free speech. [15:44.600 --> 15:52.040] If you value this sort of fact-based, statistic-based, evidence-based presentation, help me to continue [15:52.040 --> 15:53.760] to be here for you. [15:53.760 --> 15:58.400] What I'm asking you to do is go to DrReality.News, grab yourself a copy of Income Tax Shattering [15:58.400 --> 16:02.880] the Mist or Body Science, because by doing that, financially speaking, you help me to [16:02.880 --> 16:06.400] continue to be here for you with this sort of data. [16:06.400 --> 16:10.400] In that regard, you're winning twice, because you're helping me be here so I can continue [16:10.400 --> 16:12.320] to do this with and for you. [16:12.320 --> 16:18.920] And in addition, you are getting amazing information that takes the establishment narrative on [16:18.920 --> 16:24.640] physiology and tax law, breaks it down into super easy components that every single person [16:24.640 --> 16:31.280] can understand, and then shows you the hardcore truth that the establishment has been hiding [16:31.280 --> 16:33.640] from you for decades. [16:33.640 --> 16:35.240] Like I said, you win twice.
