[00:16.040 --> 00:26.440] But there's something more interesting, more illuminating about this case. [00:26.440 --> 00:37.760] The Dr. Reality Vodcast with Dave Champion. [00:37.760 --> 00:43.680] The guilty plea by US Navy Commander Stephen Shedd marks just one US Naval officer that's [00:43.680 --> 00:48.480] been caught up in the investigation known as the Fat Leonard scandal. [00:48.480 --> 00:54.880] The first inklings that something was amiss were first seen in 2006 and a formal investigation [00:54.880 --> 00:58.760] was opened in 2010. [00:58.760 --> 01:06.720] And here in 2022, 12 years later, this investigation is still finding people who have done wrong [01:06.720 --> 01:11.920] in terms of the scandal, the Fat Leonard scandal, and a number of defendants are going to trial [01:11.920 --> 01:17.400] presumably this year, 12 years after the investigation opened. [01:17.400 --> 01:18.760] So what's my point? [01:18.760 --> 01:23.600] The reason I do these presentations is to provide fact-based information for the people [01:23.600 --> 01:29.000] who follow me so that they can make more or better sense of the things they see going [01:29.000 --> 01:30.720] on in society. [01:30.720 --> 01:35.280] You may recall the Mueller investigation, which was looking at possible collusion between [01:35.280 --> 01:38.000] Russia and the Trump campaign. [01:38.000 --> 01:44.560] That investigation lasted 22 months, but within just several months of kicking off, Trump [01:44.560 --> 01:49.320] supporters were saying things like, you've had more than enough time to develop a case [01:49.320 --> 01:51.420] to present any evidence that exists. [01:51.420 --> 01:55.100] So with just having done like five months or seven months or nine months, you need to [01:55.100 --> 01:58.820] put up or shut up and shut this investigation down. [01:58.820 --> 02:06.100] However, as you can see from the Fat Leonard scandal, federal investigations don't work [02:06.100 --> 02:07.940] that way. [02:07.940 --> 02:14.860] While admittedly the Fat Leonard scandal running 12 years is highly unusual, the average federal [02:14.860 --> 02:21.460] investigation takes 30 months, and Robert Mueller's investigation took 22 months. [02:21.460 --> 02:25.220] In other words, he entered considerably sooner than the average federal investigation. [02:25.220 --> 02:27.740] Now, to be clear, this is not about Donald Trump. [02:27.740 --> 02:29.820] This is not about Robert Mueller or anything like that. [02:29.820 --> 02:34.740] It's about setting expectations when the federal government opens an investigation. [02:34.740 --> 02:39.500] And keep in mind, if someone like Mueller had been investigating a Democrat, Democrats [02:39.500 --> 02:42.780] would have said the same thing, three months in, five months in, seven months in, you've [02:42.780 --> 02:47.940] had more than enough time to either come up with an indictment or shut it down. [02:47.940 --> 02:48.940] Why would they say that? [02:48.940 --> 02:51.500] Whether it's Republican or Democrat, why would they say that? [02:51.500 --> 02:56.640] Because they're ignorant, not stupid, ignorant of how federal investigations work. [02:56.640 --> 03:01.420] And as I said, the purpose for these presentations is to better arm the people who follow me [03:01.420 --> 03:06.260] with information so they can see things clearly for what they are because they understand [03:06.260 --> 03:08.540] how things work. [03:08.540 --> 03:14.360] And one of the, I don't know what I would call it, shortcomings that I see in the United [03:14.360 --> 03:22.180] States is that the public, the vast majority of people, they have an opinion. [03:22.180 --> 03:29.000] Unfortunately, it seems to have become acceptable in the United States to have an opinion of [03:29.000 --> 03:34.920] how this or that should go without understanding how that particular thing, in this case we're [03:34.920 --> 03:39.640] talking about federal investigations, about how those things actually work. [03:39.640 --> 03:41.440] And personally, I think that's detrimental to the country. [03:41.440 --> 03:49.440] I think when it becomes acceptable for people to have opinions based on ignorance and then [03:49.440 --> 03:54.680] argue viciously in defense of their opinion to claim that they're right and other people [03:54.680 --> 04:00.080] are wrong and they don't know what the hell they're talking about, how is that possibly [04:00.080 --> 04:02.680] healthy or beneficial for our country? [04:02.680 --> 04:10.080] In my opinion, opinions should be based on having some, at least, rudimentary knowledge [04:10.080 --> 04:11.720] of how things work. [04:11.720 --> 04:15.480] And that's the reason I do the presentations that I've been doing for years now and this [04:15.480 --> 04:17.440] is just another example of that. [04:17.440 --> 04:21.780] You are better prepared to hold an opinion and to speak intelligently if you understand [04:21.780 --> 04:25.840] at least the rudimentary outlines of how certain things work. [04:25.840 --> 04:29.920] Not to tell you anything you don't already know, the U.S. is incredibly polarized right [04:29.920 --> 04:30.920] now. [04:31.400 --> 04:35.800] We've got the midterm election is just around the corner, then we're going to have the 2024 [04:35.800 --> 04:36.800] presidential election. [04:36.800 --> 04:43.040] I think the odds are pretty good that some other investigation is going to open that [04:43.040 --> 04:47.080] this political party or that political party, people within those parties, are going to [04:47.080 --> 04:49.880] perceive our partisan investigations. [04:49.880 --> 04:51.880] They are partisan in their very nature. [04:51.880 --> 04:58.160] And whether or not that belief that it's driven by partisanship, whether or not that's true [04:58.240 --> 05:02.640] Absent understanding how federal investigations work, we're going to hear the same blathering [05:02.640 --> 05:06.360] again two months in, six months in, eight months in, oh you've had more than enough [05:06.360 --> 05:08.720] time shut it down. [05:08.720 --> 05:11.480] Out of ignorance, I live in this country. [05:11.480 --> 05:19.640] So I find it disturbing and I guess in a way disappointing that so many Americans have these [05:19.640 --> 05:28.920] opinions they so strongly hold on a particular subject without understanding anything about [05:28.920 --> 05:30.040] the subject. [05:30.040 --> 05:33.280] I think we can do better. [05:33.280 --> 05:39.800] And when it comes to knowing how things work, I want to draw your attention to body science [05:39.800 --> 05:42.280] and income tax shattering the mess. [05:42.280 --> 05:47.880] You've been lied to for decades in the case of body science about human physiology with [05:47.880 --> 05:52.080] a particular emphasis on nutritional physiology and concerning income tax shattering the mess [05:52.080 --> 05:56.360] you've been lied to by the establishment for decades about who Congress has imposed the [05:56.360 --> 05:57.520] income tax on. [05:57.520 --> 06:03.620] So if you are somebody who agrees with me that your life and your opinions and how we [06:03.620 --> 06:10.320] function in a free country is served best by being well informed, these are two books [06:10.320 --> 06:12.320] I want to encourage you to grab. [06:12.320 --> 06:17.840] Go out to DrReality.News, get yourself a copy of body science and you will be blown away. [06:17.840 --> 06:22.320] All the things that you've been told for say 30 or 40 or 50 years concerning nutritional [06:22.320 --> 06:27.400] physiology, I actually have a chapter where I go through many of the things that the establishment [06:27.400 --> 06:33.600] has put out over those years that are roundly accepted as absolute scientific fact and I [06:33.600 --> 06:38.560] explain that they're not and I tell the reader they have to at least put those beliefs on [06:38.560 --> 06:45.280] hold as they read forward in the book so that when they see the evidence they don't immediately [06:45.280 --> 06:49.440] push back mentally and emotionally and that can't be true because I've always believed [06:49.440 --> 06:53.720] this for 30 years so that science can't be true. [06:53.720 --> 06:58.400] That's how embedded these falsehoods are so if you read body science you're going to be [06:58.400 --> 07:02.800] blown away and you're going to be healthier and happier and live longer for having read [07:02.800 --> 07:03.800] body science. [07:03.800 --> 07:05.880] Same thing with income tax shattering the mess. [07:05.880 --> 07:07.320] We all know the story. [07:07.320 --> 07:12.000] Everybody the societal narrative is that if you go out and you earn some money you owe [07:12.000 --> 07:18.600] some to the IRS and that's absolute poppycock, nonsense and an income tax shattering the [07:18.600 --> 07:23.960] mess in 400 pages laid out very clearly and linearly so that everybody can make sense [07:23.960 --> 07:24.960] of it. [07:24.960 --> 07:27.840] I go all the way back from 1895 forward and again when I say things like that I go back [07:27.840 --> 07:28.840] to 1895. [07:28.840 --> 07:33.600] I suspect some people are like oh jeez but believe me people have referred to it as a [07:33.600 --> 07:37.760] page turner because it's really like a mystery. [07:37.760 --> 07:39.520] It's like a whodunit. [07:39.520 --> 07:43.520] So you start with this big crime, the largest financial crime in the history of the world [07:43.520 --> 07:47.360] which is the false narrative that if you make some money in the United States you owe some [07:47.360 --> 07:54.160] to the federal government and then we start breaking down how the scam has been perpetrated [07:54.160 --> 07:57.140] and what the law really says. [07:57.140 --> 08:02.160] This goes back to the theme of this video which is we're so much of a stronger better [08:02.160 --> 08:07.300] country if people actually know how things really work and in addition to that by purchasing [08:07.300 --> 08:10.240] a copy of Body Science for Income Tax Shattering the Mess or a couple of the handbooks that [08:10.240 --> 08:15.380] are on the Dr. Reality site you help me to continue to be here for you with these fact [08:15.380 --> 08:16.380] based presentations. [08:16.380 --> 08:24.380] Thank you.
