You have almost certainly heard of the following two news outlets, Newsmax [00:07.160 --> 00:22.460] and The American Thinker. Today, I would like to share content from each of those with you. [00:22.460 --> 00:28.840] Let's start with Newsmax. Since election day, various guests, attorneys, and elected officials [00:28.840 --> 00:36.040] have appeared on Newsmax TV and offered opinions and claims about Smartmatic and Dominion Systems, [00:36.040 --> 00:41.120] both companies that offer voting software in the United States. Newsmax would like to [00:41.120 --> 00:47.480] clarify its news coverage and note it has not reported as true certain claims made about [00:47.480 --> 00:53.360] these companies. There are several facts our viewers and readers should be aware. Newsmax [00:53.360 --> 00:59.960] has found no evidence either Dominion or Smartmatic owns the other or has any business [00:59.960 --> 01:07.600] association with each other. We have no evidence Dominion used Smartmatic software or vice versa. [01:07.600 --> 01:14.720] No evidence has been offered that Dominion or Smartmatic use software or reprogram software [01:14.720 --> 01:22.440] that manipulated votes in the 2020 election. Smartmatic has stated its software was only used [01:22.480 --> 01:27.720] in the 2020 election in Los Angeles and was not used in any battleground state contested [01:27.720 --> 01:34.440] by the Trump campaign and Newsmax has no evidence to the contrary. Dominion has stated its company [01:34.440 --> 01:39.880] has no ownership relationship with the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's family, Senator Dianne [01:39.880 --> 01:45.600] Feinstein's family, the Clinton family, Hugo Chavez, or the government of Venezuela. Neither [01:45.600 --> 01:52.360] Dominion nor Smartmatic has any relationship with George Soros. Smartmatic is a U.S. company [01:52.360 --> 01:57.520] and not owned by the Venezuelan government, Hugo Chavez, or any foreign official or entity. [01:57.520 --> 02:03.200] Smartmatic states it has no operations in Venezuela. While the company did election [02:03.200 --> 02:10.000] projects in Venezuela from 2004 to 2017, it states it never was founded by Hugo Chavez nor [02:10.000 --> 02:16.360] did it have a corrupt relationship with him or the Venezuelan government. Let's see what American [02:16.360 --> 02:22.240] Thinker has to say. American Thinker and contributors Andrea Woodberg, R.D. Wedge, [02:22.240 --> 02:29.800] Brian Tomlinson, and Peggy Ryan have published pieces on AmericanThinker.com that falsely accused [02:29.800 --> 02:34.880] U.S. Dominion Inc., Dominion Voting Systems Inc., and Dominion Voting Systems Corporation, [02:34.880 --> 02:40.960] collectively Dominion, of conspiring to steal a November 2020 election from Donald Trump. These [02:40.960 --> 02:47.840] pieces rely on discredited sources who have peddled debunked theories about Dominion's [02:47.840 --> 02:53.520] supposed ties to Venezuela, fraud on Dominion's machines that resulted in massive votes switching [02:53.520 --> 02:59.080] or waiting votes, and other claims falsely stating that there is credible evidence that [02:59.080 --> 03:06.000] Dominion acted fraudulently. These statements are completely false and have no basis in fact. [03:06.000 --> 03:10.880] Industry experts and public officials alike have confirmed that Dominion conducted itself [03:10.880 --> 03:18.440] appropriately and there is simply no evidence to support these claims. It was wrong for us [03:18.440 --> 03:24.320] to publish these false statements. We apologize to Dominion for all of the harm this caused them [03:24.320 --> 03:29.720] and their employees. We also apologize to our readers for abandoning nine journalistic principles [03:29.720 --> 03:34.240] and misrepresenting Dominion's track record and its limited role in tabulating votes for the [03:34.240 --> 03:39.760] November 2020 election. We regret this grave error.
