[00:01.380 --> 00:08.520] I frequently talk about how the establishment of big pharma and big med and big gov and [00:08.520 --> 00:12.100] big food don't tell the truth. [00:12.100 --> 00:16.940] So I want to share with you today a headline that came out about a week ago and you can [00:16.940 --> 00:21.400] judge for yourself whether they're being forthright. [00:21.400 --> 00:27.140] All right. [00:27.140 --> 00:28.500] This was a headline guys. [00:28.500 --> 00:30.340] Are you ready? [00:30.340 --> 00:38.580] A strict low carbohydrate diet could be the best bet for patients with type 2 diabetes [00:38.580 --> 00:41.580] to enter remission. [00:41.580 --> 00:44.580] Remission? [00:44.580 --> 00:46.180] Really? [00:46.180 --> 00:48.980] Let me share with you the definition of remission. [00:48.980 --> 00:57.140] Remission either the reduction or disappearance of the signs and symptoms of a disease. [00:57.300 --> 01:02.860] Okay so you'll note it doesn't say the disease is gone, right? [01:02.860 --> 01:08.060] So I want to share with you an analogy because type 2 diabetes is lifestyle. [01:08.060 --> 01:12.620] Type 1 is not, type 2 is and I don't know what the exact percentages are but the percentage [01:12.620 --> 01:19.700] of type 1 is infinitesimally small in America and the percentage of type 2 in America is [01:19.700 --> 01:21.520] gigantic. [01:21.520 --> 01:23.140] So let me give you an analogy. [01:23.140 --> 01:29.700] If I were to take my hand and place it here on this desk and with this hammer I were to [01:29.700 --> 01:35.340] smack my hand, yeah that's going to hurt like a son of a bitch, right? [01:35.340 --> 01:42.680] So if I were to do that every single day my hand would be in pain every single day. [01:42.680 --> 01:47.840] So now that would be I think most people refer to that as self-abuse. [01:47.840 --> 01:55.060] So if I stop smacking my hand with a hammer every day, I stop the self-abuse. [01:55.060 --> 01:58.440] Is my pain in remission? [01:58.440 --> 02:00.440] No! [02:00.440 --> 02:05.000] There was never a permanent situation at hand. [02:05.000 --> 02:09.720] It was something I was doing, it was lifestyle options that I was choosing, I was taking [02:09.720 --> 02:11.960] this and smacking my hand, right? [02:11.960 --> 02:17.440] So once I stopped that lifestyle the pain went away, it didn't go into remission. [02:17.440 --> 02:21.040] So why do they feel they have to characterize this? [02:21.040 --> 02:25.600] If you stop eating a crappy diet and start doing the right thing your type 2 diabetes [02:25.600 --> 02:27.960] will go into remission. [02:27.960 --> 02:29.460] Why do they have to say that? [02:29.460 --> 02:35.400] Because it is disadvantageous to their economic interests for them to come out and say look, [02:35.400 --> 02:41.320] you have been smacking yourself in the hand with a hammer, you have been engaged in self-abuse. [02:41.320 --> 02:46.600] If you stop the self-abuse the type 2 will disappear. [02:46.600 --> 02:50.520] It came because you are abusing yourself and it will go away when you stop abusing [02:50.520 --> 02:51.520] yourself. [02:51.520 --> 02:55.800] It is a disease in the sense that it disrupts the proper function of the body while it exists, [02:55.800 --> 03:01.240] but it is not the kind of disease that persists absent signs and symptoms. [03:01.240 --> 03:06.400] With type 2 diabetes when the signs and symptoms go away because you are doing the right thing [03:06.400 --> 03:12.060] and you are no longer self-abusing yourself, it is gone, it is not in remission. [03:12.060 --> 03:16.280] And of course we get absolute nonsense from the American Diabetes Association. [03:16.960 --> 03:21.280] I want to share with you a sentence from a report issued by the American Diabetes Association [03:21.280 --> 03:27.800] and it reads, evidence suggests that there is not an ideal percentage of calories from [03:27.800 --> 03:33.280] carbohydrates, protein and fat for people with diabetes. [03:33.280 --> 03:37.360] Yeah, complete and utter bullshit. [03:37.360 --> 03:40.440] So there is, how do they phrase that? [03:40.440 --> 03:46.020] An ideal percentage of carbohydrates for a person who is diabetic and the ideal percentage [03:46.020 --> 03:49.940] of carbohydrates is zero. [03:49.940 --> 03:52.580] Now I am not going to try and explain the whole concept here. [03:52.580 --> 03:56.780] If you are type 1 or 2 you may have been told by your doctor or nutritionalist or dietician [03:56.780 --> 03:58.860] that you need carbohydrates. [03:58.860 --> 04:03.860] So I want you to know that is a party line, that is an establishment narrative and more [04:03.860 --> 04:06.540] to the point it is a false establishment narrative. [04:06.540 --> 04:09.260] Now I can't go into the whole thing here, we would be here a very long time. [04:09.260 --> 04:12.560] I will simply tell you that every single carbohydrate you eat, I don't care whether it is a piece [04:12.640 --> 04:14.440] of broccoli or it is a doughnut. [04:14.440 --> 04:18.840] It breaks down into something called a monosaccharide in your intestines which is the most basic [04:18.840 --> 04:21.960] level of sugar. [04:21.960 --> 04:25.120] Anyone who has done the research, usually type 1 diabetics are more inclined to do the [04:25.120 --> 04:29.440] research, you know that injecting insulin is not a positive thing, it is a necessary [04:29.440 --> 04:35.040] thing and it keeps you alive but if there was some other way to do that, yeah, you would [04:35.040 --> 04:42.040] want to do that and the way to ratchet that problematic scenario down to the very lowest [04:42.640 --> 04:45.920] level, yeah, you just don't need any carbohydrates. [04:45.920 --> 04:52.920] Now you may see in magazine articles and on social media that oh, it is harmful not to [04:52.920 --> 04:54.880] eat carbohydrates. [04:54.880 --> 04:57.760] Carbohydrates are going to be, okay, so that is BS and again I don't have time to get into [04:57.760 --> 05:01.360] it here, this would be a very, the science of it here, this would be a very, very long [05:01.360 --> 05:02.360] video. [05:02.360 --> 05:06.920] So I just want to encourage you, purchase body science, okay, it is not an expensive [05:06.920 --> 05:13.920] book and learn the true physiology, the science of how everything works inside you especially [05:16.080 --> 05:20.480] concerning things like insulin and carbohydrates, there is a huge emphasis in body science on [05:20.480 --> 05:22.080] that. [05:22.080 --> 05:28.360] Once you understand how this physiology really works, whenever you see a headline such as [05:28.360 --> 05:33.080] we have been discussing or you see some article where a dietician says oh, you have to have [05:33.640 --> 05:39.520] carbohydrates, once you know the science, once you know the physiology, they will never [05:39.520 --> 05:44.440] be able to fool you ever again because you know. [05:44.440 --> 05:50.600] Isn't that what we are supposed to be all about if we actually know the facts? [05:50.600 --> 05:53.720] All of these liars can no longer fool us. [05:53.720 --> 05:55.320] Isn't that really where we want to be?
